At first I had mixed feelings when I started seeing all the denim dresses hitting the stores and streets.  It reminded me of  the denim dresses that I wore in high school (which I have since sold or given away).  Do I want to take this trend another round?  Enough time has passed for this trend to feel fresh again.  There are so many variations on the denim dress right now, that there is a style for everyone.

Ombre's turn...

We have seen quite a bit of colorblock over the last couple of months, so I thought it was only fair to give ombre, colorblock's sister, some attention.  Ombre:  the gradation of hue from light to dark.  Because ombre is usually a more subtle color change than colorblock, it may be easier to wear for those wanting to experiment with more than one bright solid color at a time.  Think of it as a version of a print.

Rachel Zoe Resort 2013 Collection

I am not normally one to post (or put much focus on) upcoming season collections.  My interest usually lies more in the current season.  However, the Rachel Zoe Resort 2013 collection definitely caught my attention.  Maybe because I am a huge fan of her style, or maybe because my style mimics hers in many ways, but I felt compelled to share some of the just released images from this collection.

What a range of colors!  From yellows, blues, corals, and pinks to black and whites, bold color will be returning.  Yay!  Along with the return of color come the prints, colorblock, and gorgeous textures.  The colorful suiting shows cropped pants as well as longer, wider leg styles.  This collection just seems so versatile.  Maybe part of the reason I am drawn to this collection right now is because I can see it fitting in perfectly with the current season.  I am thrilled that some of the fun looks from this season will be returning in 2013 but in new incarnations.  This is love at first sight :)
