Fonuts...
"A doughnut that is baked and/or steamed, never fried" ~ faux donut.
Flavors include vanilla latte, caramel apple, peanut butter and jelly, chocolate coconut, pumpkin, lemon, maple bacon (yes, you read that correctly), banana chocolate, and chorizo cheddar (you read that correctly too).  Check out the entire range of flavors: Flavors | Fonuts .  These are currently only sold in LA and not available for shipping (darn), but check out the recipe below to try them at home. Hmmmm, maybe this weekend?

Gluten-Free Banana Chocolate Fonuts
Makes twelve
Ingredients
1½ c. white rice flour
1½ c. almond meal
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. ground cinnamon

2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
¼ c. refined coconut oil or other oil
¼ c. chocolate chips, or to taste
1. In large mixing bowl, mix dry ingredients together. In a separate bowl, mix bananas and wet ingredients. (Note: If using coconut oil, use a water bath to melt the oil.)
2. Combine dry and wet mixes together.
3. Fold in chocolate chips.
4. Pour batter into two nonstick, six-cavity donut pans.
5. Bake at 350° for approximately 15 minutes until golden brown. (When touching the center, the dough should bounce back.)

NYFW Street Style Recap

As with all fashion weeks, we see the good, the bad, and the crazy when it comes to street style looks.  I am mesmerized by the style range, and I never tire of looking at the interesting looks and styling details.  For now, let's concentrate on the more chic styles.  Thanks to blizzard Nemo during fashion week, there were many layered coat looks.  Take a look at a few of my favorites...

Miroslava Duma is always one to watch...

Check back for more detail looks and a look at "the wild and crazy" later this week :)

Bloggers in Polka Dots

As I am finding my way back into the world of the nonsick after a grueling week of sore throat, fever...blah, blah, blah...I am thinking about incorporating polka dots (a current obsession) into this week's looks.  Scanning through recent posts of bloggers in polka dots, here are a few that caught my eye and provide inspiration for us all.

Monica of  Blog Moda | Diario de estilo de Mónica Sors

Bessie of  Bravoe Runway

Annabelle of VIVALUXURY
Anna of  Fash Boulevard
Nanooosh of  Fashion in my Eyes .. By : Nanooosh
Kier of  Fashion Addict  ...love these polka dot tights!
Thinking about wearing my Banana Republic polka dot sweater with mustard skinny jeans...hmmm...

Thoughts?

Congrats to the winner of my eFoxcity jewelry giveaway....Rachael of  Letters from a Mermaid !

Hearts Time...

With Valentine's Day being less than a week away, it's time to jump on the "hearts" bandwagon.  Typically I am not a heart motif lover in regards to clothing or jewelry (yes, I am most likely in the minority), but during the month of February I somehow develop a soft spot and fall into the pack of heart lovers :)

Inspiration from AnnaSophia Robb of The Carrie Diaries...

So here I am sharing a few of my favorite looks in "hearts"...

1/  Equipment Heart Print Blouse / farfetch.com  ($378.25)   2/ Wildfox Sequin Heart Jumper / nelly.com  (L189.95)    3/ Petite Double Heart Sweater /wallisfashion.com  ($44)  4/  Rhodo Suede Peep Toe Heeled Shoes with Patent Heart Panel / chicnova.com  ($62.70)    5/  Black Heart Jacquard Sweater / riverisland.com  (L35) 6/  ASOS Heart Shape Sunglasses   ($21.05)  7/ Bracher Emden Valentine Heart Clutch / bottica.com  ($213)

Are you a year round heart lover, a seasonal fan, or a take-it-or-leave it kind of lover?

Happy weekend!
