Cathy Covets...  James Nares for CoachWelcome to the premiere blog post of the weekly Cathy Covets...!  This first post showcases my new discovery in the world of handbags - the Coach X James Nares Collection.  As a longtime fan/buyer of Coach handbags, I have amassed quite a collection over the years (enough to fill an entire armoire with Coach bags and accessories...oops).  That being said, it takes something unique to arouse my interest in purchasing a new Coach handbag.  I have to say that this new collaboration for spring does just that.  The bright colors (spring trend) portrayed in such an artistic manner are eye catching.  Can you imagine carrying one of these to the beach?  So here are the details on this collaboration... 

James Nares single brushstroke on canvas

This collaboration between Coach and artist James Nares is new for Spring/Summer 2012 and will be available starting in May.  It features luxurious artistic designer tote bags illustrating artist James Nares' single brushstroke paintings come to life on double-layered Italian canvas with vachetta leather shoulder straps/handles and a vegetable-tanned leather base. Each bag is numbered and features a Coach leather storypatch with James’ signature. The tote collection is available in five different colors: blue, green, black, pink and orange.  All are priced at $798 with an international production of only 175 of each color. Rumor has it that the collection will only be available in Singapore and Hong Kong, and Coach.com, but I will be waiting impatiently for more detailed info on availability.
