Mixed Media Jackets

Another one of my favorite trends for the upcoming fall is the mixed media look.  Mixed media: combining two different materials that don't normally go together into one garment.  One of my first forays into this look was seeing the Zara denim/leather jacket.  I was fascinated by the combination of the denim body mixed with the contrasting leather sleeves.  It reminded me of the baseball/varsity letter jackets worn back in high school but with a more contemporary vibe.  Probably the most well known version of this look is the Burberry leather sleeve trench coat. Now this look is popping up everywhere and in many forms.  Here are a few of the pieces capturing my attention at the moment...

    Hi Cathy, fantastic post, even though winter is ending here, I feel like going out and buying a few of these classy jackets. I love the Burberry trenchs and the red draped one is beautiful! the lace one is lovely too, so unusual!

    I love this trend too,I love it so much Ive just bought a jacket with mixed fabrics,which you may of seen a glimpse of on my post :D Ive just started working in Zara too,and theres so many gorgeous coats with mixed media fabris and I love them all.
